redefined: Visual Communication Design Class of 2015 Senior Showcase

Opening this Saturday!

The Silpe Gallery is proud to host redefined: Visual Communication Design 2015 Showcase, an exhibition featuring work by distinguished students who have completed the BFA degree in visual communication design and who are about to enter the professional design field.

The exhibition will open with a public reception on Saturday May 2, 2015 from 5-7 p.m., and will continue through May 10, 2015. There is a private preview reception for design and advertising professionals on Monday May 4, 2015 from 5-7 p.m.

The theme of the VCD 2015 exhibition hints on the students’ desire to assist in the redefining of what design is/means in our world.  The exhibition features the professional portfolios of our graduating senior class, the centerpiece of which is a major thesis project that the students researched and developed—from concept to final execution—over the course of this academic year.

Participating designers include:

Arielle Anthony (Newington, CT); Jennifer Bianco (Hawthorne, NY); Chelsey Clapper (Montrose, PA); Sabina Flagg (Chapaqua, NY); Amy Glaser (Allentown, PA); Sasha Kashalapov; (Marlborough, CT); Erin Kelly (Preston, CT); Stephanie Leonardi (Stony Brook, NY); Daria Milas (Fair Lawn, NJ); Brooke Porter (Ellington, CT); Igor J. Rodriguez (Manchester, CT and Lara, Venezuela); Gema Sanchez (Farmingdale, NY); Marieke Spresser (Wood River Junction, RI).

Be sure to see the amazing work of the most talented designers educated in Connecticut who are about to enter the market in just a few short weeks!
