The Silpe Gallery is occasionally available to outside organizations and individuals on a selective basis for purposes that are compatible with, or enhance, the mission of the Hartford Art School.
If you are interested in holding an exhibition in the Silpe Gallery, please prepare a short description of the exhibition you would like to propose, include the scope of the exhibition, the artists’ names, and the approximate number of works you plan to include. Attach three to five images of the work, and email your proposal to Lisa Gaumond, Managing Director, Hartford Art School Galleries, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your proposal will be reviewed by the Gallery Advisory Committee, which meets quarterly. If your proposal is selected, you will be contacted.
Please note that space in the Silpe Gallery is generally available only during the summer months or early in the fall. All exhibitions are subject to a weekly rental fee and all transportation, installation, and deinstallation are the responsibility of the exhibition organizer. A rental contract will be issued once the accepted exhibition proposal’s dates are set.
The Silpe Gallery can be available during most exhibitions for evening receptions or gatherings. When the gallery is in between shows and the walls are clear, the gallery can be available for meetings as well.
